Open Question: Make the move to Knoxville Tennessee?

A little info: I am in my early 20s, Just got a good job at my college, currently in my master's program. I graduate in April. I live in Westland Michigan patiently looking for a house or condo to buy in the area. I haven't been able to find what I am looking for.. and in this market... yea. So I have been thinking lately about just moving out of state. I am going to take a trip there before winter hits to get a feel for the city. I have been hearing a lot of great things about Knoxville and I have no children, not married either. Some family in Memphis but close relatives live in Detroit.
