Resolved Question: Could somebody brief me on the area of Westland Michigan?

I will be moving soon to Westland Mi. (48186 to be more precise) very soon...just as soon as I get me closing date. It's a really nice home that Im really looking forward to. The home is only 10 yrs old and located in a newer suburb. But, Im starting to get ideas that the area might not be up to the task...should I be worried?
